Oak Smoked Cheese 150g
Made with cows' milk from the Blagdon Estate, this is delicious Northumberland Original recipe, with the addition of real nettles.
Our Northumberland Oak-smoked is an extremely popular award-winning cheese, and with good reason. It is our delicious Original recipe cheese, which is then cold-smoked over oak wood chippings for 12 hours, to develop a bronzed outer core and a beautifully smoky taste. Our Oak-smoked cheese is the real deal; there is absolutely nothing artificial in this flavour. Once the cheese has been smoked for 8 hours, it is then matured for 3 months to deepen the flavour. It won Silver at the International Cheese Awards (2019).
It is wonderful melted into a bacon sandwich. Pair it with something with chilli for an extra dimension of taste.
Please note that this cheese is pasteurised and vegetarian. It is suitable for pregnant women.
