Our Hens

 

Based in the idyllic surrounds of Matfen Village in Northumberland, our family run farm provides the very highest standards for our hens. They’re the real stars of our business and they're treated as such.

We also quality check our eggs to ensure only the best are packed. Each box and tray is date and flock traceable and because we only handle higher welfare hens, you know you’re getting the very best eggs around. 

We never sell caged eggs. Ever. All of our eggs are Free Range.

We’re on the farm every day and because we collect and pack our eggs daily, this means we can get them to you quicker - often the day after they were laid.

Our farm and packing centre are fully RSPCA assured. We really mean it when we say "ethical eggs where welfare matters".

*Every few years, as we transition between flocks and our pullet hens are just beginning to lay we may need to outsource some of our supply depending on demand. Whilst these eggs will not be from our farm in Matfen, rest assured that in keeping with our brand, these eggs will be from a Northern Free Range flock.
